I was so excited for Debbie when she told me she was getting married and would like me to be the wedding photographer! I had the pleasure of working with Debbie in the past and I love photographing the weddings of people I know! The big day was to be Friday 6th July 2012.
Etrop Grange Hotel is a stunning venue. It is a Grade II listed Georgian county house sitting nestled amongst beautiful greenery. You would never know it was close to Manchester Airport! An impressive entrance with stone staircase takes you through the front door, where you are greeted by a cosy fireplace and sensational chandeliers in the reception area.
Debbie was getting ready in a suite which overlooked a lovely courtyard. I was quick to get snapping, trying to capture the exciting atmosphere as Debbie and her bridesmaids did their hair and makeup. The dress looked lovely hanging in the bay window, and I had to take some pictures of Debbie’s gorgeous shoes!
Chris arrived a short while later and looked very relaxed as he welcomed the guests, no sign of any nerves at all! The ceremony room looked fantastic with more chandeliers, candles and a pale blue theme for the flower arrangements and chair sashes. The petals lining each side of the altar were an elegant finishing touch. Debbie made a fabulous entrance, she looked absolutely stunning and it was so moving to see the bride and groom’s family and friends looking so happy for them. A few emotional readings later and Chris struggling to get the ring on Debbie’s finger, the couple were officially married!
After a lovely drinks reception, we managed to sneak outside between the rain showers to get a few wedding photographs of the happy couple. It was a shame we could not take advantage of the pretty courtyard for group photographs but the weather was typically British and relentless rain continued all day!
Debbie and Chris looked like they really enjoyed their day and they look very happy in the photos! Check out the wedding photography slideshow for the highlights of the day! I would like to say thank you to Debbie and Chris for being so hospitable to me and allowing me to be part of their big day. Wishing you both lots of happiness for the future!
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing newborn baby Lily and gorgeous new mum Tasha. Lily was very lively and alert for the most part – out of the window went the sleeping baby shots then! Instead however, we managed to capture some really cute images which ooze personality even at this early age! She was a pleasure to photograph. Check out some of the pictures from the day.
